What’s the Difference Between a Sound Bath and Sound Healing?
I get this question often, and it’s such a good one. While both sound baths and sound healing sessions involve the beautiful Alchemy Crystal Singing Bowls, the way they’re experienced is a little different. Here’s how I like to explain it:
Sound Bath
A sound bath is more like an immersive experience. You come in, get comfy, lie down, close your eyes… and let the sound do the work. I play the bowls and sing in a flowing, intuitive way, creating a soundscape that gently washes over you.
It’s deeply relaxing. People often feel grounded, clear, and rested. Some fall asleep, others go into dreamlike states, some simply breathe deeply for the first time in days.
It’s a space to reset. A space to receive. A space to simply be.
No pressure. No expectations. Just sound and connection.
Sound Healing
Sound healing sessions are more personally tailored to your needs and often one-on-one. I might work with specific bowls, tones, or patterns depending on what you’re going through - emotionally, physically, or energetically.
We might talk a little beforehand so I can understand what you need, and then use the bowls to help shift what’s ready to be released or healed. Some sessions are calming. Others can be emotional. All are sacred.

It’s more than just sound, it’s intentional support for whatever it is you most need on your path right now…mental, emotional, physical, spiritual.
And my Bowls?
I work with Alchemy Crystal Singing Bowls, each infused with healing minerals, precious metal an/or gemstones, like rose quartz, platinum, or amethyst. These aren’t just instruments, they’re carriers of specific energies and frequencies.
Each bowl brings something unique, heart-opening, grounding, divine feminine, or clarity. Over the years, I’ve seen these bowls bring people back to themselves in profound ways.
Final Thoughts
Sound healing isn’t just a practice. It’s a remembering, of who we are beneath the noise, of what balance feels like, of the innate wisdom already within us.
And while science is still catching up, the experiences - the peace, the resonance, the deep knowing - speak for themselves.
The Main Difference?
Sound Baths are more meditative and for general wellness, think deep rest, like floating in a warm pool of sound.
Sound Healing is more focused, and can be tailored to specific things, like stress, anxiety, insomnia, or emotional release.

Why Alchemy Bowls?
All of my bowls are Alchemy Crystal Singing Bowls, each infused with rare gemstones, minerals, and precious metals like gold, platinum, and moldavite. They each carry their own energy and frequency. That’s what makes these sessions so unique and deeply transformative.
Whether it’s a group sound bath or a one-on-one healing session, it’s always about creating a space for you to soften, to feel, and to reconnect, with yourself and what you need most.
